Dear Marsden Park Galaxy FC members, Firstly Wishing everyone a Very Merry Christmas and a HAPPY NEW YEAR. I am really happy to say that our registrations for the 2025 season is now open. We have published all fees and relevant information on our Registration Website page and Facebook page (Link on the website). Please refer to these for all the relevant information and also any future updates. On a real positive note in Oct at our AGM, our committee grew from 24 to 25, with 80% of the committee staying on and all the senior members voted back unopposed. The experience and additional support will go a long way to making next year a very successful and well managed season. What’s changing: The Registration Process. The registration process will now be processed through Play Football and not Dribl. This is a last minute change by Football NSW and hence the many emails you would have personally received from them recently. For this reason we have pushed back the registration dates so we can set everything up correctly. The competition games will still be managed via Dribl so don’t delete the app. To register, please go to the following registration website Play Football Registration for Marsden Park FC. Registration close Date: This year to ensure we can get the teams organised, prepared, and training a few weeks before the season starts, we will be setting a registration close date of the Sunday night 23rd February 2025. If you have not registered by that date, we cannot guarantee a place and you may be placed on a waiting list. If teams are full, you will be notified of the situation. So, register early. Girls Gala Day 23rd Feb late afternoon (Save the date): The club is very keen to promote our females in sport. We are also keen to build some all girls teams to play against other all girls teams in the comp. We are therefore encouraging all the females in our community to come down to Elara for a fun filled day for all the girls in our community to give it go, have some fun, and see if they want to take up the sport next season. If you already play come down also to win prizes, play some fun games and meet some of the FEMALE PROFESSIONAL WANDERER PLAYERS. More info provided nearer the date. Additional Coaching: A professional coach Louis Baron, from Football Life, has built us drills for the different age groups and skill levels provided on a mobile app. We have chosen to develop our dedicated, committed, enthusiastic parent coaches, and provide them the support and education needed now and into the future. In addition, our committee coaches Cameron Taylor, Paul Reilly, Nagi Samir and Hayden Banger will be (not coaching your teams but assisting) these coaches during the week on what to improve on and how to perform these drills. Louis will also come down and have a session with our coaches to demonstrate how to manage and coach the kids and provide some online sessions during the year for questions and advice. We are also looking to have a professional goal keeper coach provide additional training to our keen goalkeepers . Grading: The top two teams in all age groups from U8 and above will need to attend grading to be eligible for these teams. A separate link will be sent to put your name forward for Grading for each age group and for the second round of grading you will have needed to have paid and have registered for the club through Play Football. Further information will be provided. 1st round of grading: U14-U15 Mon 10th Feb, If selected a 2nd Round of grading will take place to finalise the top 2 teams. Your child will need to be a registered player with the club and have paid their registration fees in full to attend the second grading: U14-U15 Mon 10th Feb, Rego Days and Shorts and Socks purchase dates: We have already received our Shorts & Socks for 2025. So will be publishing some dates on our website and face book page on when these can be purchased, so stay tuned. Team Nominations: As part of the registration process you can let us know in the notes / comments section if you would like your child to play in the same team as last year (Unless in our graded teams), or with their mates (please provide full names not nicknames) or would like not to be in the same team (please provide relevant info). The club will not guarantee but try and accommodate to your needs where possible. Ensure you register early for a better chance.
